The Best Wedding Venues in D.C.
The Washington DC area has some truly incredible venues. Check out my favorite vineyard that you won't believe isn't in Provence, get a peek at the best private garden in D.C. and see a historic mansion that will knock your socks off!
Springfield Manor
My favorite for summer weddings is Springfield Manor Winery and Distillery. This venue offers an exceptional ceremony arbor and rolling hills. The rooms are bright and beautiful with plenty of space. There's a long driveway separates a sprawling vineyard and fragrant lavender field. It's a dream. And they'll serve lavender cocktails during the reception! Score!
What Springfield does best: Portrait Locations, Outdoor Reception, Ceremony Spot
My Tip: If you want lavender on your wedding day (June and July), book well in advance.
Oxon Hill Manor
Near the National Harbor, Oxon Hill Manor offers sweeping views of the Potomac, an incredible brick courtyard, beautiful rooms and an amazing pool and balcony for stunning portraits. It's elegant, historic and roomy enough for plenty of guests. My favorite ceremony spot is their large garden with incredible views. Afterwards, enjoy a reception behind the manor or head indoors for dramatic windows and soaring ceilings.
Your guests can stay at swanky hotels in the National Harbor, eat great food and go for a ride on the ferris wheel. If you're feeling adventurous, we can head there for your post-ceremony portraits!
What Oxon Hill does best: Portrait Locations, Ceremony spot, Getting Ready Space, Location
My tip: Make sure you have plenty of daylight after the ceremony to truly enjoy the grounds.
Meridian House
If you want seclusion in the heart of Washington D.C., Meridian House International is simply the best. You'll be surrounded by greenery but elevated above street level (it's quiet!) Enjoy your first dance on the patio or in the majestic rooms inside. The green library is great for dining tables and the upstairs entry is perfect for serving up cake.
There's something for every season at Meridian. It's one of the few venues that I find to be just as elegant in the summer as it is in winter. This is a Christmas wedding destination!
What Meridian House does best: Historic DC Vibes, Ceremony Spot, Most Photogenic Interior, All-Season
My tip: For more space and bright light, plan to get ready at a nearby hotel with your bridal party.
